In translational research, data collection is critical for gaining insights that lead to tailored treatment regimens for patients. In recent years, translational research has moved rapidly.  Patient treatment efforts are hampered by inadequate data collection tools, which can adequately provide standards, identifies error-prone manual workflow and provide for collaborative places where scientists and clinicians may freely share data and insights. Data collection strategies should be established to emphasize participants reported outcomes in comparative effectiveness, observational and clinical trials research. I would employ surveys, questionnaires, patient self-reported information, ambulatory, informant data, and biological material analysis as tools and hospital medical records. The majority of the information acquired in observational epidemiology research comes from participant self-reports on questionnaires that are either self-administered or administered by an interviewer in person, by mail, by phone, or via the internet or self-administered. This premise could be wrong, putting an excessive burden on research participants and resulting in the collection of enormous volumes of data that will never be of use, analyzed, or presented in a scientific journal. It is frequently highly beneficial and time well spent to discern between academic data items and data items that are not critical to the primary study idea (De Maria et al., 2021). This strategy would greatly assist the researchers in narrowing down their research questions and collecting data in the most rigorous and timely manner feasible.
