9-1 Discussion: Problem-Solving and Responses-Nursing Paper Examples

Response 1 (Problem-Solving and Responses)

Your post on problem-solving is informative. Renner et al. (2019) observe that most people fail to follow their daily routines due to a lack of practice and mental imagery of the planned activities, making it difficult to become ingrained in their memories. The lack of practice makes it difficult for people to appreciate the significance of their daily routines, which is necessary for developing the necessary discipline. A lack of motivation could also force an individual to miss their routines ( Problem-Solving and Responses).

A study on specialist periodontal nurses established that a lack of motivation and strict schedules make nurses feel miserable performing their daily routines at the workplace (Lögde et al., 2018). Additionally, individuals miss routines due to a materialistic mindset, such as adopting a routine that is challenging to control. In this case, it is boring and stressful for individuals to follow routines they do not control. Henceforth, devising an effective routine is crucial in overcoming people’s challenges when following their daily routines.

Response 2

Your post on lack of sleep as a contemporary problem is excellent. However, I want to expand on the measures for solving sleeping problems, which include regular exercise. Regular exercise enhances sleep quality by minimizing disruptions and inducing deeper and restful sleeping phases. Besides, Sun et al. (2019) recommend maintaining a comfortable sleeping environment to improve sleep quality. The environment should have controlled temperature, light, and noise (Problem-Solving and Responses).

Additionally, people with sleeping problems should reduce stress and depression, which are associated with poor sleeping habits (Yeo et al., 2019). They should seek relaxation therapies and adopt stress-reducing methods like meditation. Moreover, maintaining regular sleeping patterns, like reducing napping, is crucial for improving these patterns.

Regular sleeping includes maintaining a consistent bedtime and associating with sleeping cues like darkness. Finally, He, Hasler, and Chakravorty (2019) suggest eliminating drugs like alcohol consumption to solve sleeping problems. Alcohol affects sleeping patterns by causing frequent arousal, restlessness, and awakening when sleeping.

Thus, observing these measures could enhance sleeping patterns, especially among individuals with sleeping problems. Consequently, introducing relaxing activities is also crucial. Such activities includes; warm baths, calm music, reading novels and relaxation exercises before bedtime.

Moreover, Maintaining proper food remains essential in solving sleeping disorders. Subsequently, including avoidance of heavy meals that may result in gastrointestinal upset.
