Tell us about your academic and personal achievements. What have you learned from your successes and\/or challenges, and how will this influence you as you pursue your college education?<\/p>\n
I was adopted from Ethiopia at the age of 8. Both my parents passed away when I was younger both of my parents passed away from Tiberculosis, I also had TB but the doctors caught it in my left hip before it travelled to my lungs which would have killed me. This is one of the main reasons I would like to persue the medical field. I don’t want people to go through the same pain I did with my limited range of motion in my hip and the leg legth difference. I work as a CNA at a nursing home and love it, plus it gives me an upper hand since im going to be stepping into the medical field. I have a family of three my parents, little brother and me. Played baseball till junior year, been on missions trip to new York.<\/p>\n
