Nursing interventions include actions or initiatives nurses undertake to help patients achieve their healthcare objectives. The Catastrophic earthquake in Haiti in 2010 affected more than three million people, and about 220,000 people died. Most were injured, requiring medical assistance, with nurses at the forefront. Based on this incidence, all levels of nursing intervention, including primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention, were used during and after the disaster (Blutcher et al., 2018). The proposed interventions are under the response phase of the disaster. Communities and individuals begin to take action to help the affected individual through interventions like emergency response, search and rescue, injury treatment, and efforts to reduce the effects of hazardous materials.
