Evidence-based practice contributes extensively to the delivery of care and improvement of health outcomes. As a nurse practitioner, my mandate is to share clinical knowledge and expertise with health stakeholders to improve quality and outcomes. One of the strategies that I am likely to deploy is motivating the recipients to seek evidence from the practice and apply its practical use. The strategy involves working with leaders within organizations, communities, and industries to create awareness of a particular evidence-based approach and advocate for its use (Gallagher‐Ford et al., 2020). Similarly, the strategy can be implemented by having a credible individual champion particular practices. I consider this particular type of dissemination strategy ideal because it relies on the team leaders’ credibility hence likely to be accepted by the organization.

The other dissemination strategy that I consider ideal for use is enhancing the use and application of evidence. The strategy entails coming up with different evidence-based materials and supporting healthcare organizations’ clinical initiatives. The support may include availing materials to track patients’ recovery and imparting staff with the skills required to help patients, for instance, problem-solving skills (Melnyk et al., 2017). I chose this particular dissemination strategy because it helps patients recover by ensuring that the specific evidence-based practices have been deployed on them, facilitating better recovery.

On reaching broad audiences, media and social media offer more effective systems to disseminate EBP. The communication tools include the use of traditional media, websites, and social media sites. The platform can be beneficial in effectively addressing pertinent health issues that affect communities, such as obesity and cardiovascular diseases (Powell et al., 2017). While the platform is full of inaccurate health information, offering credible and well-supported EBP can effectively lead to more awareness.

The key obstacle that I am likely to face while using the motivating strategy to embrace evidence-based practice is the organization’s opposition. The management may find the use of particular people as evidence-based champions as causing political problems to the organization. Likewise, financial hurdles are likely to hinder the provision of support materials when it comes to the application of evidence-based practices. I intend to solve both problems by having a conversation with the organization’s management. I will inform the organization’s top leadership about my desire to use specific individuals to champion evidence-based practices. Also, I will inform the organization about the significance of the evidence-based practices and their support for the initiative.
